This approach to software design allows MYOB EXO to separate the different layers of the solution e.g. database management system, business rules and user interface and in so doing reduce the total amount of bandwidth required to deploy the system remotely. Users in other offices or staff who are mobile can securely tap into MYOB EXO via dial-up, the internet, or wide area network connection for access to the same information that is available at head office.
Security
This architecture provides multiple security layers with the database having been effectively separated from the application. It allows for easier monitoring of client activity and provides a central point for client diagnostics.
